The No. 17 UCLA Bruins and No. 18 USC Trojans meet Saturday at the Rose Bowl, fighting for the Pac-12 South Division crown and adding every last drop of intrigue to the bitter rivalry. The game is the Trojans' last Pac-12 contest, and with a 5-3 conference record to UCLA's 5-2, a loss by USC would be the Bruins' ticket to the Pac-12 Championship game.

Matt Barkley enters his final bout with the Bruins with his legacy still of much importance. The senior may not have a chance at a national championship, but he and FBS reception leader Marqise Lee still have plenty of motivation against their rivals and a shot at the Rose Bowl all their own.
The Trojans' defense will have to deal with Walter Camp Award watch list member in UCLA running back Johnathan Franklin, who has 199 carries for 1,270 yards on the year. UCLA is on a four-game winning streak, while USC's 38-17 victory last week against Arizona State is simply a recovery game after two losses in a row to Arizona and Oregon.
About the only sting being left out of Saturday's rivalry game will be the Trojans' drum major not stabbing the Rose Bowl at midfield before kickoff.
Game time, TV channel: 3:05 p.m. ET, FOX
Point spread: USC opened as three-point favorites
