Though there's little chance of the LSU Tigers finding their way to the SEC Championship game by winning the SEC West, there's still a mathematical shot. Beating the Ole Miss Rebels Saturday in Baton Rouge, La., is a must-win to keep that hope alive.

With two SEC games remaining on the schedule, winning out would at least give Les Miles' team an opportunity should the Alabama Crimson Tide fall once again. However unlikely, it's a good motivational tactic. The Tigers (8-2, 4-2 SEC) are behind Alabama and Texas A&M in the West Division, but they must take care of business against the Rebels, who at 5-5, fell, 27-26, last week to Vanderbilt.
Quarterback Bo Wallace leads Ole Miss with a sound 2,239 yards this year on 65.6 percent passing. He has 12 touchdowns and 10 interceptions, but he's also a threat on the ground, where he's second to running back Jeff Scott with 269 rush yards this season.
The Tigers are coming off a big win against Mississippi State and will look for continued balance behind quarterback Zach Mettenberger. The junior threw for 273 yards and two touchdowns last week after a solid performance against then-No. 1 Alabama the week prior. He has not thrown an interception since Oct. 13 in a game against South Carolina.
Game time, TV channel: 3:30 p.m. ET, CBS
Point spread: LSU opened as a 20-point favorite.
