Montel Harris rushed for 351 yards and seven touchdowns as the Temple Owls (4-6, 2-4) dismantled the Army Black Knights (2-9, 2-5) on Saturday afternoon, 63-32.

Montel Harris rushed for 351 yards and seven touchdowns on Saturday, as the Temple Owls defeated the Army Black Knights, 63-32.


Harris averaged a staggering 9.8 yards per carry against Army, easily carrying the Owls to a dominating win. Harris’ first touchdown of the day came on a 60-yard run in the second quarter. Harris also had two touchdown runs of 37-yards.
As a team, Temple rushed 57 times for 534 yards. Temple quarterback Clinton Granger finished the game just 2-of-4 passing for 31 yards.
Matt Brown scored Temple’s first two touchdowns of the day, and finished the game with four carries for 71 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Despite the dominating win, Temple actually held the ball for less time than Army, as Army controlled the ball for 29:07, compared to Temple’s 28:23.
Army racked up 495 yards of total offense, but unlike Temple, were unable to convert all the offense into an obscene amount of points. The Black Knights were just 6-of-12 on third down conversions, and committed two turnovers in the loss.
Trent Steelman led Army with 139 rushing yards on 20 carries, scoring three touchdowns. As a team, Army picked up 407 yards on the ground, and just 88 yards passing.

Rankings Ramifications: Neither team will factor into next week’s rankings.
But Did They Cover? Army came into the came favored by three points, and failed to cover.
