Utah State vs. La. Tech final score: Aggies upset Bulldogs in battle of WAC powerhouses

The Utah State Aggies took control of the WAC by upsetting the No. 20 Louisiana Tech Bulldogs.

Down by 24 points late in the third quarter, the No. 20 Louisiana Tech Bulldogs rallied back against a hungry Utah State Aggies team and even took it to overtime, but could get no closer: the Aggies pulled off the 48-41 upset over the Bulldogs Saturday in Ruston, La.

With the win, Utah State cliched at least a share of the WAC title.

The Aggies were led by Chuckie Keeton's 340 yards on 20-of-34 passing and two touchdowns plus his 121 yards rushing on 17 carries and two touchdowns. The ground game combined for 306 total yards including 145 yards on 18 carries and two touchdowns by Kerwynn Williams, including the game-winning 4-yard run in overtime.

The Bulldogs did all they could with quarterback Colby Cameron finishing with 396 yards on 35-of-60 passing with one touchdown and two interceptions. Kenneth Dixon added 109 yards rushing on 22 carries and two touchdowns.

The Aggies stayed undefeated in the WAC at 5-0, 9-2 overall while the Bulldogs suffered their first conference loss and are now 9-2 overall, 4-1 in conference.
