The Baylor Bears beat the No. 1 Kansas State Wildcats, 52-24, on Saturday night, using a tremendous defensive performance to beat the top team in the nation at home.

Baylor roared to a 28-7 lead in the first half and stunned the top team in the nation, before Kansas State scored ten quick points in the final minutes of the second quarter to pull to within 28-17 heading into halftime. The Wildcats offense would implode out of the gates in the third quarter, however, as Baylor quickly took a 35-17 lead after taking advantage of quarterback Collin Klein’s interception on the first drive of the half.
Kansas State seemed to gain new life when Nick Florence's interception at the goal line led to Kansas State getting to withing two scores, yet the offense would stall and allow Baylor to pull away in the third quarter. Klein's third interception of the game was turned into an 80-yard touchdown scramble by Baylor running back Lache Seastrunk, effectively putting the game away and giving the Bears a dominated 52-24 lead.
Heisman-hopeful Collin Klein was 27-of-50 for 286 yards, two touchdowns and three costly interceptions, as the Kansas State offense struggled mightily for most of the game against the Baylor offense.
