Michigan vs. Ohio State: Denard Robinson could start

Denard Robinson is close to 100-percent healthy and could start at quarterback against Ohio State this Saturday.

Michigan Wolverines head coach Brady Hoke said that Denard Robinson is close to 100-percent healthy and could start at quarterback Saturday against the undefeated Ohio State Buckeyes, according to the official Michigan football Twitter account.

Robinson was on the field last week against the Iowa Hawkeyes after missing two games with an elbow injury, however, he wasn't under center. He started the game at running back. He finished the game with 13 carries for 98 yards.

In Robinson's place was junior Devin Gardner, who performed exceptionally in the Wolverines 42-17 victory. He accounted for all six Michigan scores, passing for 314 yards and three touchdowns, and rushing for three more touchdowns.

If indeed Robinson does start at quarterback, Gardner would presumably return to the wide receiver position where he has played much of this season. Gardner has 16 receptions for 266 yards and four touchdowns.

Robinson has thrown for 1319 yards and nine touchdowns this season and rushed for another 1044 yards and six touchdowns.
