Missouri vs. Florida 2012: Preview, TV schedule, odds and game time

Florida needs to bounce back with a win over Missouri if they want to maintain their hopes of an SEC Championship game appearance.

Kevin Liles-US PRESSWIRE

After a disappointing loss to the Georgia Bulldogs, the No. 7 Florida Gators return home and attempt to get back on track against the Missouri Tigers on Saturday. The 7-1 Gators had hoped to make an appearance in the SEC title game, and a win over 4-4 Missouri is absolutely crucial in keeping those hopes alive. They also need the Bulldogs to slip up against the Ole Miss Rebels or the Auburn Tigers.

Sophomore quarterback Jeff Driskel turned the ball over four times in the loss against Georgia, two more than his combined total from the team's first seven games. That's just the latest in recent offensive struggles for the Gators. Driskel is averaging just 106 yards in each of his last four games after averaging 175 in the first four games of the season. Senior running back Mike Gillislee has also dropped off, combining for 181 yards in the previous three games after totaling 548 in his first five games. They should have an opportunity to return to form against Missouri, who is giving up an average of 33.2 points to SEC opponents.

Junior quarterback James Franklin is expected to start for Missouri. It would be his first start since injuring his knee in the team's 19-15 loss to the Vanderbilt Commodores. Freshman Corbin Berkstresser has started in his place, completing only 48.9 percent of his passes and throwing five interceptions and only three touchdowns.

Game time, TV channel: Nov. 3, 12 p.m. ET, ESPN2

Online streaming video: WatchESPN

Point spread: Florida favored by 16 points
