The No. 14 Oklahoma Sooners (5-2, 3-1) visit the Iowa St. Cyclones (5-3, 2-3) on Saturday at Jack Trice Stadium in Ames, Iowa.

No. 14 Sooners try to bounce back after disappointing loss to Notre Dame when they visit Iowa State on Saturday.


The Sooners return to Big 12 play after getting run over by Notre Dame last Saturday night in a prime time matchup at home. After averaging 52 points in their previous three games, the Fighting Irish defense slowed down the Sooners as the Oklahoma offense could only score 13 points.
Iowa State will present a challenge for the Oklahoma offense once again. The Cyclones rank third in the Big 12 for points allowed although they are also sixth in the league for yards allowed at just over 400 yards per game.
Iowa State is looking to even up their conference record with consecutive wins after beating Baylor last week, 35-21. The Cyclones went to the air early and often to beat the Bears with quarterback Steele Jantz completing 36-of-52 passes for 381 yards and five touchdowns.
