A scary injury occurred early in the fourth quarter of the Arkansas game against LSU on Friday, when fullback Morgan Linton slammed his head on the ground. Linton ended up walking off the field under his own power.

A scary injury occurred when Arkansas fullback Morgan Linton hit his head on the ground early in the fourth quarter against LSU. Linton walked off the field under his own power.

The play happened in the fourth quarter, when quarterback Tyler Wilson dropped back to pass and threw an incomplete pass Linton’s way. Linton tried to dive for the pass (which was incomplete) and hit his head. After lying on the ground for several minutes, Linton did walk off.
From strictly a football perspective, Linton’s loss shouldn’t dramatically impact Arkansas’ game-plan, as the Razorbacks look to upset No. 7 ranked LSU. On the season, Linton has yet to carry the ball a single time, and has just four catches in 2012 for a total of 37 yards. His biggest play of the season was a 19-yard reception against Kentucky back on October 13.
Arkansas entered Saturday a disappointing 4-7 on the season overall. However late in the game, they trail LSU by a score of just 17-13.
