Arizona State vs. Arizona 2012 final score: ASU rides huge 4th quarter to 41-34 win

Marion Grice scored three touchdowns, including the game-tying run in the fourth to lead the Sun Devils in the upset victory in Tucson on Friday.

Matt Scott threw three touchdown passes, including a late 17-yard strike to David Richards that made it a one-possession game, but it wasn't enough as the Arizona Wildcats fell to their arch-rival Arizona State Sun Devils, 41-34, at Arizona Stadium on Friday night.

ASU used a 24-point fourth quarter in order to mount a lopsided comeback after they were outscored 27-17 through three quarters. That’s when things went terribly wrong for the Wildcats. After Jon Mora’s 39-yard field goal brought the Sun Devils to within a touchdown, Arizona would lose a fumble, have a punt blocked, and throw in interception on its next three possessions, all of which resulted in points for Arizona State.

Junior running back Marion Grice scored three of the Sun Devils' five rushing touchdowns on the evening and led ASU's ground attack, totaling 156 yards on 18 carries for an 8.7 yards per carry average. As a team, they rushed for 269 yards. Arizona State's win came largely as a result of winning the turnover battle by a margin of 4-2.

Scott threw three interceptions, and the Wildcats lost a critical fumble in the fourth quarter.
