Michigan vs. Ohio State: Buckeyes score first after this Braxton Miller bomb

After a deep pass from the athletic OSU quarterback, running back Carlos Hyde punched it in.

It didn’t take long for Ohio State to make a statement at The Shoe. Braxton Miller threw a deep pass to Devin Smith that went for 52 yards and got the Buckeyes into the red zone.

The Michigan defense only allows 152 yards through the air per game, so OSU picking those yards up in bunches is a sign that bodes well for Miller and the Buckeye offense. Carlos Hyde took the ball three yards to put the Buckeyes up 7-0.

Following that drive, Michigan looked to be getting things going behind a long run by Denard Robinson, but Devin Gardner fumbled to give the ball back to the Scarlet and Gray.

Things stayed interesting with Braxton Miller under pressure and hit hard, and he looked to be holding his arm in pain when he went to the sideline. He is being looked at by the training staff as Michigan starts its next possession, but the brittle Miller, who has been battling a variety of injuries all season, certainly doesn’t want to take hits like that.
