The No. 4 Oregon Ducks defeated the No. 17 USC Trojans by the score of 62-51 at the Los Angeles Coliseum in a high scoring and equally-entertaining affair on Saturday.

With the victory, Oregon remained undefeated and did so behind their dynamic and quick strike offense, led by freshman quarterback Marcus Mariota and senior running back Kenjon Barner.
Their offense was simply overwhelming for the Trojans on Saturday night, evident with 62 points and 732 yards of total offense. The 62 points were the most any opponent has ever scored against USC, in the history of the school.
Oregon saw a pair of big leads disappear against the Trojans, giving them a few scares, but ultimately the Ducks would not be contained, let alone stopped, on offense. The attack was firing on all cylinders, whether it was on the ground or through the air.
While the two quarterbacks in the game combined for a staggering 789 yards through the air and 9 passing touchdowns, star running back Kenjon Barner stole the show. The Riverside product rushed for 321 yards, good for a conference record, while scoring five touchdowns.
USC's Matt Barkley played well, passing for five touchdowns and 484 yards, including a pair of one-play touchdown drives to keep the Trojans within reach of Oregon.
Box Score Hero: There’s no contest here, as Kenjon Barner broke the Pac-12 conference rushing record with 321 rushing yards while taking it in for five touchdowns.
Rankings Ramifications: The No. 4 Ducks certainly shouldn’t fall in the BCS rankings after such a dominant performance, and depending on the Alabama/LSU game, could move up. The No. 17 Trojans may drop out of the Top 20, though it certainly wasn’t a “bad loss” for USC.
But Did They Cover? Oregon easily covered the opening 6-point spread, winning by 17 points on the road.
