FCS playoff schedule 2012: Top seeds play Saturday

The FCS playoffs continue on Saturday with eight games in the second round of play.

The FCS playoffs continue into the second round this weekend, with eight games on the schedule on Saturday.

South Dakota State will take on No. 1 North Dakota State at 4 p.m. ET at the Fargodome in Fargo, ND. Led by quarterback Austin Sumner, the Jackrabbits easily defeated Eastern Illinois in the first round to advance to Saturday's game. The winner will take on the victor between Wofford and New Hampshire, set to play at 2 p.m. ET in Spartanburg, S.C.

No. 2 Eastern Washington will face Wagner at 6 p.m. ET, with the winner moving on to the quarterfinals to take on the winner between Appalachian State and Illinois State. No. 4 Old Dominion and Coastal Carolina will play at 2 p.m. ET and will be facing the winner of No. 5 Georgia Southern and Central Arkansas.

Stony Brook will be looking to upset No. 3 Montana State at 7 p.m. ET at Bobcat Stadium in Bozeman, Mont. Quarterback Kyle Essington led Stony Brook to a 20-10 win over Villanova in the first round. The winner will take on the victor of Sam Houston State and Cal Poly, who face off at 4 p.m. ET in Huntsville, Texas.

All games will be covered regionally on ESPN 3. The FCS National Champtionship will be played on Jan. 5, 2013 in Frisco, Texas.
