Nebraska vs. Wisconsin 2012 results: Badgers dominate Cornhuskers, 70-31

Wisconsin had 539 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on the ground and will be headed back to Pasadena as the Big Ten’s representative at the Rose Bowl.

Wisconsin ran its way to the Rose Bowl, dominating Nebraska for 539 yards rushing and eight touchdowns on the ground in the Big Ten Championship Game Saturday. The final score was 70-31, and it was probably not that close.

Melvin Gordon, Montee Ball and James White combined for 45 carries for 527 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on the ground for Wisconsin.

The Badgers led by two touchdowns a little more than two minutes into the game, and went into the half up 42-10. They did not let up in the second half.

Wisconsin improved to 8-5 with the win and will represent the Big Ten in the Rose Bowl for the third consecutive year when they face Stanford on Jan. 1.

Box Score Hero: Wisconsin running back James White rushed 15 times for 109 yards and four touchdowns.

Rankings Ramifications: Nebraska was ranked 12th going into this game and will certainly fall after the loss.

But Did They Cover? Nebraska was favored by 3 points in the game and did not cover the spread.
