2012 Las Vegas Bowl final score: Boise State withstands Washington rally to win, 28-26

Huskies running back Bishop Sankey had a great game, but Boise State rallied in the waning minutes of the game.

The No. 19 Boise State Broncos rallied to defeat the Washington Huskies in the Maaco Las Vegas Bowl, 28-26, as Michael Frisina hit a go-ahead field goal with 1:16 remaining in the game to give the Broncos the lead.

Sophomore running back Bishop Sankey led the way for the Huskies with 203 yards rushing, including a 26-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. He also had six receptions for 74 yards.

Boise State led by as many as eight points after a touchdown midway through the third quarter. But the Huskies fought back to take a lead -- their only of the game -- with just 4:09 remaining in the fourth when Travis Coons kicked a 38-yard field goal.

On the ensuing kickoff, Shane Williams-Rhodes returned the kick 47 yards to set up the Broncos in Washington territory, which they took advantage of with a Frisina field goal from 27 yards.

After Washington got near mid-field on their final drive of the game, Keith Price threw an interception that capped the game for the Broncos.
