Keenan Allen declares for 2013 NFL draft
California Golden Bears receiver Keenan Allen has declared for the 2013 NFL Draft.

Allen finishes his college career with 2,570 yards, third on Cal’s all-time list, and first in school history with 205 receptions. His 17 touchdowns are seventh-best in Golden Bear history. From Greensboro, N.C., Allen’s best season came in 2011, when he caught 98 passes for 1,343 yards and six touchdowns.
The 6’3, 210-pound receiver had 61 catches for 737 yards and six touchdowns in his junior season, but ultimately suffered with mediocre talent beside him on a 3-9 team. Allen’s statistics also suffered during his final season at Cal because he missed the final three games of the regular season with a knee injury.
Allen didn’t make either the first or second All-Pac-12 team this past season.
Widely considered a first-round talent at receiver, Allen also has experience as a punt returner and kick returner. His decision to leave college early makes sense considering his stock, and so does the fact that Cal will be rebuilding after it fired head coach Jeff Tedford.
