BYU Cougars running back Michael Alisa has left the game against the Hawai'i Warriors with an apparent arm injury and will not return.

The starting running back for the BYU Cougars injured his arm in the first half and is now watching the game from the sidelines with his arm in a sling.

Alisa left the field holding his left arm after a play and was seen coming out of the locker room with it in a sling. He is not expected to return to the game. He had two rushes for 12 yards on the evening.
Alisa, a junior from Laie, Hawai’i, is the main back shouldering the running game for the Cougars. He has rushed 56 times for 210 yards on the season, good for an average of 3.8 yards per carry. He also has one rushing touchdown.
Jamaal Williams and Taysom Hill have taken over in the backfield for BYU. Each has seven carries, and Williams leads the duo with 60 rushing yards and a touchdown scored.
The Cougars lead the Warriors 14-0 at halftime.
