The Arizona St. Sun Devils are doing their best to stay in the thick of things in Pac-12 South. ASU has had a lot of success at home, beating teams like Illinois and Utah convincingly. Their only blemish on the season is a road loss to Missouri, but at 3-1 they've set themselves well going into the end of September for a nice run to challenge USC at the top of their division.

On the other side sit the California Golden Bears, who are reeling at 1-3. Cal is coming off a brutal road trip which saw them drop consecutive matchups in Columbus to Ohio State and in Los Angeles to USC. Can the Bears recover at home in Strawberry Canyon? A loss puts them at 1-4 and puts their chances of a winning season in serious jeopardy. Cal has had their success with ASU, beating the Sun Devils in eight of their nine previous meetings, but this might be one of the more talented teams they've faced.
