FIU vs. Louisiana-Lafayette final score: Ragin’ Cajuns win, 48-20

University of Louisiana-Lafayette opened up a 17-0 lead at the end of the first quarter and never looked back, defeating Florida International University, 48-20, on Saturday

The Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns dominated the Florida International Golden Panthers from start to finish en route to a 48-20 victory in Sun Belt Conference play. Louisiana-Lafayette quarterback Terrance Broadway went 15-of-28 for 228 yards and one touchdown through the air and added seven carries for 33 yards and two rushing scores to lead the Ragin' Cajuns over FIU on Saturday night.

The Ragin' Cajuns scored the first 24 points of the game to jump out to 24-0 lead with 12:13 left in the second quarter on the strength of a rushing and passing touchdown from quarterback Blaine Gautier.

After FIU cut ULL's lead to 24-14 with consecutive rushing scores from E.J. Hilliard and Jeremiah Harden, Broadway answered with rushing and passing touchdowns of his own to extend the Ragin' Cajuns' lead to 38-14.

Louisiana-Lafayette had 500 yards of total offense while holding Florida International to just 284. The Ragin’ Cajuns improved to 3-1 on the season and 2-0 in the Sun Belt, while Florida International fell to 1-4 and 0-1 in conference play.
