Oklahoma State started off the scoring with a Joseph Randle two yard rush to give Oklahoma State a 33-28 lead before Joe Bergeron answered for Texas with a short one yard gain of his own to give the Longhorns the lead back. When Oklahoma State answered with a field goal to give the Cowboys a one point lead, Texas engineered the critical game-winning drive. David Ash found D.J. Grant for 29 yards to convert on 4th down, then hit Mike Davis for a 32 yard reception that set up the Bergeron game-winning score with :36 left.
