Matt Barkley injury: USC QB will miss 2013 Senior Bowl
Matt Barkley’s disappointing 2012 continues with the news that his shoulder injury will leave him a spectator for the Senior Bowl.

Barkley injured his shoulder when he was sacked by UCLA's Anthony Barr late in their Week 12 matchup and it left the Trojan quarterback sidelined for the end of USC's season as well as for their bowl game, a loss to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in the Hyundai Sun Bowl. The official diagnosis was an AC joint sprain, and Barkley's appears to be on the longer end in terms of healing time. It's unclear how long the injury will bother him, or how it might impact his performance at his pro day and other events running up to the 2013 NFL Draft.
Barkley’s draft stock took a beating in 2012, and no doubt missing the Senior Bowl won’t help. After ending the 2011 season talked about as the possible first overall pick, USC’s severely disappointing season will have a strong impact on where Barkley ends up in April.
