The San Diego Chargers are interested in UCLA Bruins head coach Jim Mora, reports Kevin Acee of the Union-Tribute San Diego. Mora has just finished his first year at UCLA, where he took the Bruins to only their second nine-win season in 13 years.
Jim Mora NFL rumors: Chargers reportedly interested in UCLA coach
After just one year at UCLA, the NFL rumors have surfaced for Jim Mora.

One link between Mora's current staff and the Chargers is Noel Mazzone, the current offensive coordinator for the Bruins. Mazzone was the offensive coordinator for the N.C. State Wolfpack in 2003, where he coached current Chargers quarterback Phillip Rivers.
Mora has experience as a head coach at the NFL level, including a stint with the Atlanta Falcons and another with the Seattle Seahawks. His first year with the Falcons saw an 11-5 record and a loss in the NFC Championship Game, but overall his 32-34 NFL record is far from spectacular. UCLA went after Mora looking to replicate the success USC found with Pete Carroll, and obviously were Mora to depart after just one year it would be a significant blow for the program.
