Though De'Anthony Thomas is now reportedly out of his walking boot, his status for No. 2 Oregon's game against No. 16 Washington on Saturday remains up in the air.
De’Anthony Thomas questionable vs. Washington, but out of boot
Oregon could still be without its star running back this weekend.

The junior suffered an ankle sprain on the opening kickoff against California two weeks ago, and missed the rest of the game. The following week, he sat out against Colorado as well. Thomas has done some light jogging and participation in drills this week, although he did not yet declare himself ready to go against the Huskies, according to comments he made Thursday:
“I’m not really sure,” Thomas told reporters about his status for Saturday. “It’s still early in the week, and I’m just trying to work hard and get back to normal.
“I’m walking around pretty good, just staying focused on getting better and just recovering. It’s nice to walk around with two shoes on. That’s a great feeling. I’m just trying to get better from there.”
If Thomas is unavailable to play, the Ducks -- third in the country in rushing yards per game at 335.8 -- may not suffer too much without him. Running back Byron Marshall will likely take most of the carries in his place, as he has the last two weeks. Marshall rushed for over 120 yards against both California and Colorado in Thomas' absence, and the sophomore now leads the team in rushing with 448 yards.
