Though details on the settlement were not released, Tuberville should be able to put this lawsuit behind him.

Cincinnati head coach Tommy Tuberville has reportedly settled a lawsuit filed by investors against a hedge fund he had previously managed, according to The Associated Press. Details regarding the settlement were not made available, and Tuberville’s attorney, Devin Dolive, declined to comment.

The lawsuit originally alleged that the hedge fund -- TS Capital, LLC -- defrauded clients of more than $1.7 million, and while Tuberville was not charged with anything himself, the lawsuit was set to go to trial on Oct. 15. Resolving this situation now allows Tuberville to avoid going to trial, and to continue the rest of the season relatively distraction free.

For further reading on the Tuberville lawsuit, Viva The Matadors had an analysis of its implications and Tuberville’s response when it first broke last year.

So far, Cincinnati is 3-2 this season, and will be in action against Temple on Friday night. The Bearcats are currently sixth in the American Athletic Conference.
