USC’s Ed Orgeron era even means pregame tradition tweaks

USC interim coach Ed Orgeron is not Lane Kiffin. No one besides Lane Kiffin is Lane Kiffin, but if anybody is, it’s definitely not Ed Orgeron.

The boisterous former Ole Miss coach with the guttural, Cajun accent has made changes all throughout the Trojans’ program, including a noted uptick in fried chicken.

Thursday night against Arizona marks his debut as USC’s game-day head coach, and those assembled are already noting a number of new touches:

We’ll see how all that translates during the game, but I have a feeling we’ll see a fired-up USC team. Maybe not one that’s going to a bowl game, but this team has the talent on defense and at the skill positions (when healthy) to hang with anybody in the Pac-12 if its players and coaches are all on the same page.
