Already down several of his top receiving targets, USC quarterback Cody Kessler will have to make do without yet another.
Xavier Grimble injury: USC receiving corps depleted even more
Southern Cal tight end Xavier Grimble left the second quarter of the Trojans’ game against Arizona with an apparent shoulder injury.

USC TE Xavier Grimble went to the locker room with a shoulder sprain.

Coming into the game against Arizona, Grimble was the Trojans’ fourth-leading receiver, hauling in 11 catches for 127 yards through USC’s first five games. Grimble’s injury compounds the Trojans’ difficulty in keeping its top pass-catchers healthy.
RT @USC_Athletics: USC WRs Marqise Lee, Darreus Rogers and De'Von Flournoy are all OUT as is OLB Morgan Breslin.

Even with all of these injuries, Cody Kessler already has thrown for 198 yards and two touchdowns and settled upon Nelson Agholor (3 catches, 108 yards, and a touchdown) as his favorite target in the absence of Marqise Lee. But if any more Trojans go down, interim head coach Ed Orgeron might have some difficulty finding able-bodied offensive players to send out onto the field.
#USC using a lot of 2 WR, 2 TE sets. In that formation, there are exactly zero healthy scholarship backups right now.
