Rasco received a flag for unnecessary roughness for his actions. Murphy remained in the game following the incident. The personal foul gave Florida 1st and goal, but the Gators were unable to cash in. Florida kicked the field goal three plays later, narrowing the LSU lead to 14-6, and an LSU field goal on the next drive restored the Bayou Bengals’ advantage.
