Oklahoma will travel to Kansas this week after a thoroughly disappointing performance against Texas last weekend. The Sooners were dominated, out-executed and beaten up all game long by the Longhorns in all phases -- they even gave up a touchdown on special teams, and had an interception returned for a touchdown. Sooners quarterback Blake Bell played his worst game this season, going 12 of 26 for 133 yards and two interceptions.

Oklahoma will be looking to rebound against a very beatable Jayhawks team that has been abysmal on offense. Kansas is 115th among FBS teams in total offense, recording just a shade over 300 yards a game. Except against FCS school South Dakota in the season opener, the Jayhawks also have yet to score over 17 points this season.
The numbers
Rankings and records: No. 18 Oklahoma leads the all-time series, 70-27-6, and has won eight in a row.
Vegas: Oklahoma opened as 24-point favorites.
Weather: The forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with a 10% chance of rain.
Three names to know
Jake Heaps (Kansas quarterback) - A former five-star recruit, Heaps' first season at Kansas hasn't gone particularly well. A large part of the offense's struggles obviously fall on him, as he is completing just 52.6% of his passes for a mediocre 5.8 yards per attempt and a 5:6 TD:INT ratio.
Dominique Alexander (Oklahoma linebacker) - With Corey Nelson out for the season with a pectoral injury, Alexander stepped up in his first taste of extended playing time. He recorded 19 total tackles against Texas. The Sooners may not need a huge performance from him to win, but his growth will be essential moving forward.
Brennan Clay (Oklahoma running back) - Blake Bell gets most of the headlines -- and an impossibly awesome nickname -- but Clay has kept the chains moving all season long. He leads the team with 476 yards, good for fifth in the conference, and boasts a 6.5 yards per carry average.
Two things at stake
Last week’s surprising loss to Texas was a setback for this Oklahoma team, but it did not eliminate the Sooners from Big XII contention. Dropping one to Kansas likely would, however. With a win in this one, Oklahoma can make up ground next week against Texas Tech.
Kansas is looking to get on the board with its first conference win. Its first two tries were a 54-16 loss to Texas Tech and a 27-17 loss to TCU.
