Saturday college football schedule: Game times, TV coverage for Week 8 games
Saturday’s college football slate is headlined by a pair of games on opposite ends of the country with serious BCS Championship implications.

No. 5 Florida State at No. 3 Clemson, 8 p.m. ET, ABC
Some are going so far as to call this matchup between the Seminoles and Tigers the most important game in the history of the Atlantic Coast Conference and, whether or not history ends up viewing it as such, the atmosphere in Death Valley -- bolstered by the presence of ESPN's College GameDay -- will be reflective of the national championship implications that this game bears. Of course, what makes this game an absolute must-watch is the fact that a pair of Heisman Trophy candidates, Tajh Boyd and Jameis Winston, will be under center for Clemson and Florida State, respectively.
No. 9 UCLA at No. 13 Stanford, 3:30 p.m. ET, ABC/ESPN2
The Bruins and Cardinal might have been pitted in another Week 8matchup of top-10 teams had Stanford not unexpectedly lost 27-21 at Utah last week. As it is, both teams still have an opportunity to work their way into the the BCS Championship picture and might even find themselves in a rematch for the Pac-12 championship later this year.
No. 24 Auburn at No. 7 Texas A&M, 3:30 p.m. ET, CBS
Gus Malzahn versus Kevin Sumlin means that we'll probably see plenty of offense in College Station, and offense is fun, especially when reigning Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel is involved. Malzahn and the Auburn Tigers have an opportunity to take this season from being merely a nice step in the right direction to being a big one.
No. 6 LSU at Ole Miss, 7 p.m., ESPN2
Currently on a three game losing streak, the Rebels have lost some of the sheen they acquired after a buzzworthy offseason and a 3-0 start. But Ole Miss has a chance to make a statement when it welcomes sixth-ranked LSU into Oxford. LSU still controls its own destiny in the SEC West, and it will be interesting to see whether its improved defensive play in Week 7 was representative of John Chavis’ unit taking a step forward or just a byproduct of playing Florida.
