The college football season continues to fly by after another wild weekend of upsets. As the conference races begin to take shape, there was no shortage of news on Monday. Here’s a look at everything that made headlines yesterday.

Miami to learn NCAA fate

Three years after the Nevin Shapiro story first began, the NCAA will finally announce its decision on sanctions for the University of Miami Tuesday morning. Most expect the damage to be light, considering both the NCAA’s lessened credibility and the case’s multiple hiccups, plus the fact that the Canes have already docked themselves three postseason games (including an ACC Championship Game) and have potentially limited their scholarships as well. We’ll find out more about that at 10 a.m. ET. Stay tuned right here.

De'Anthony Thomas to play against UCLA

Thomas, who might just be the fastest player in college football, is expected to play against UCLA on Saturday after missing the last three games with a sprained ankle. The Ducks offense continued rolling even with DAT on the sidelines, averaging nearly 55 points a game, but there’s no denying his speed in the open field gives UO just another weapon to give the ball to.

Grambling State to play remainder of games

Grambling State players refused to play against Jackson State over the weekend because they were fed up with all of the financial issues holding the program back. On Monday, the team decided it will play the rest of its games this season after talking it over during the weekend. The athletic department reportedly promised the players new facility upgrades, though it’s done that in the past and failed to deliver.

Alabama loses starting safety for remainder of season

Vinnie Sunseri appeared to seriously injure his knee during Alabama's big win over Arkansas on Saturday. On Monday, it was announced Sunseri tore his left ACL and will require season-ending surgery.

The loss of Sunseri, a multi-year starter, is a big blow to the defending national champions. He had racked up 20 tackles on the season prior to the injury, including one for a loss. He also broke up four passes. Nick Saban called him “one of the best guys I’ve ever had the opportunity to coach” during his postgame press conference.

Bowl game to be played at Marlins Stadium

The Miami Beach Bowl was announced as one of college football’s new bowl games about two weeks ago. There was some question as to where the game would be played each December, but we have clarification now: it will be played at Marlins Park.

The $634 million stadium controversially opened up almost two years ago despite the Marlins continually ranking near the bottom in attendance over the last 10 years or so. Marlins Park comes complete with a night club, fish tanks and this thing:
