Alabama, Oregon, Florida State see national championship odds improve again

The three teams at the top of the BCS standings also have the best odds of winning the national title.

The initial BCS standings were released on Sunday, and the national championship odds have been updated accordingly. Alabama, Florida State and Oregon are the top three teams in the standings, and they all saw their national title odds improve.

Alabama is an 8/5 favorite to bring him the title, up from 7/4 last week. Oregon’s odds improved from 11/5 to 7/4, and Florida State was the big mover, going from 12/1 to 3/1.

As for the Heisman Trophy, Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota remains the frontrunner at 10/11, but Seminoles quarterback Jameis Winston closed the gap significantly after a strong performance against Clemson, going from 11/2 to 11/10. The next best Heisman odds belong to A.J. McCarron at 10/1.
