Thursday college football schedule: Game times, TV info for Kentucky-MSU, Marshall-MTSU
The Thursday slate this week offers just two games -- an SEC tilt and a Conference USA matchup.

Kentucky at Mississippi State - ESPN/WatchESPN
One of these two teams will get their first conference win, and although the odds favor the home team Bulldogs, it might be a mistake to count out Kentucky entirely -- despite ranking 13th in the conference in offense and defense, the Wildcats came within a hair of beating South Carolina three weeks ago.
Both Kentucky and Mississippi State are coming off byes, but the key to this one will likely be in how the Wildcats have prepared for Mississippi State's two quarterbacks, Dak Prescott and Tyler Russell. Russell came into the year as the starter, but suffered a concussion and has split time with Prescott since. Both saw extensive action in MSU's last two games, and Prescott, a dual-threat sophomore, has come onto the scene to lead the team in rushing.

Marshall at Middle Tennessee - Fox Sports 1
The Thundering Herd currently sit atop the C-USA East, and would like nothing better than to hang onto their one game lead over East Carolina. To do so, they'll have to beat a reeling Middle Tennessee team -- the Blue Raiders have fallen to 3-4 after a 3-1 start to the year. During that losing streak, they've allowed an average of 31.6 points per game, including 37 to BYU. To make matters worse, they have gotten decreasing production from the quarterback position, as well -- freshman quarterback Austin Grammer passed for 36 yards on 22 attempts in his appearance against North Texas, and senior Logan Kilgore has thrown for under 200 yards during two of his last three games.
Neither of these things can continue if they want to beat Marshall, whose solid passing attack is headed by quarterback Rakeem Cato. Cato has thrown for 1572 yards so far this year and has a 12:5 TD:INT ratio to show for it.
