The BYU Cougars completely dominated the first half against Boise State, taking a 24-3 lead into halftime.
BYU vs. Boise State score: Cougars take 24-3 lead into halftime
The Broncos came out sloppy and don’t have any answers for Taysom Hill.

Taysom Hill has been unstoppable thus far, completing 21-of-28 passes for 253 yards and two touchdowns. He’s also carried the ball eight times for 53 yards and a touchdown. Unless Boise State can figure out a new game plan in a hurry to keep Hill in check, it’s going to be a long night for Chris Petersen’s boys.
As a team, BYU racked up 376 yards of total offense. Hill connected with nine different receivers for pass completions, and the Cougars are averaging more than five yards per carry.
Very little went right for Boise State in the first half. Grant Hedrick has been unable to get much of anything going down the field, and the run game has been nonexistent. Just as it seemed like they were putting together a scoring drive in the closing minutes of the second quarter, Shane Williams-Rhodes fumbled around midfield. The Cougars took advantage, and about 60 seconds later they were in the end zone once again to take a 21-point lead.
