Western Kentucky vs. Lousiana-Monroe 2013 final score: Hilltoppers cruise to 31-10 win over Warhawks
Bobby Petrino’s team looks like a Sun Belt contender after blowing out ULM.

The Hilltoppers built an early 14-0 lead on a pair of touchdown passes from quarterback Brandon Doughty, but a Jyruss Edwards touchdown plunge and Justin Manton field goal narrowed the lead to 14-10 at halftime.
The Hilltoppers took control of the second half, though. An Antonio Andrews six-yard touchdown run restored the Hilltoppers' double-digit advantage before a Garrett Schwettman field goal and a Leon Allen touchdown run cemented the victory.
Western Kentucky dominated the stat sheet, crushing ULM in total yardage, 530-391, while forcing two Warhawks turnovers and avoiding key mistakes.
Box Score Hero: Honors were split between Doughty and Andrews. Doughty went 24-of-36 passing for 370 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Andrews had 155 rushing yards and a touchdown on 27 carries, plus he caught a 22-yard pass.
Rankings Ramifications: Neither team expects to factor in the polls, but both entered the season with Sun Belt title hopes. Western Kentucky, under new coach Bobby Petrino, looks much closer to making those dreams a reality.
But Did They Cover? Western Kentucky was a 7.5-point favorite, and covered with ease.
