Alabama is the favorite for the national championship, and Florida State and Oregon are now tied for second place. The two figure to be the top contenders to face off against the Tide in the championship game, with the Ducks likely having the schedule strength advantage should both teams win out.
Everyone else’s odds got worse, with the exception of Stanford (who beat a very good Oregon State team) and Auburn (who are now on the board).
The Heisman appears to be a two-horse race, with Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota narrowly beating out Florida State freshman sensation Jameis Winston. No non-quarterback appears to be in the running -- not even star Texas A&M wide receiver Mike Evans.
