Michigan vs. Michigan State odds and trends: Line moves in favor of Spartans

Michigan and Michigan State square off in an in-state rivalry game that will have serious implications in the B1G race this season.

The Spartans opened as 3.5-point favorites at OddsShark.com, but that line has moved to -6 as bettors continue to view Michigan State as the superior team. The over/under started at 46, and it is available either there or at 46.5, depending on the bookmaker.

In its last 13 home games, Michigan State is 3-10 against the spread. However, over the past five years, Michigan is 0-5 against the spread when facing the Spartans (and just 1-4 straight up).

In their past five games as a home favorite, the Spartans have won, but they are just 2-10 against the spread in their last 12 games as a home favorite (this has, in part, contributed to their low estimation among poll voters and computer ratings, despite their impressive record).
