A game that looked it might not get played went off without a hitch as Navy upended visiting Air Force, 28-10, on Saturday afternoon. Air Force had a 10-7 lead late in the second quarter before the Midshipman offense rallied behind QB Keenan Reynolds and left the field with the victory.
Air Force vs. Navy 2013 final score: Keenan Reynolds paces 28-10 Navy win
The game happened after all, and Navy used a strong second half to come away with a comfortable win.

The game was imperiled by a federal government shutdown that furloughed upperclassmen on both teams, including travel restrictions. An agreement was reached to allow the game to continue, however, which included a sizeable donation from USAA -- an insurance company that services military members and a major sponsor of the telecast on CBS.
Box Score Hero: Reynolds finished with 126 rushing yards and three scores on 28 of Navy’s 50 carries. He added 54 yards on 6-for-10 passing as well.
Rankings Ramifications: None whatsoever. Neither of these teams are or will be ranked this season, nor has either even played a team currently garnering a single vote in any polls.
But Did They Cover? Navy was a 13.5-point favorite at kickoff, so even with the slow start the Midshipmen took care of business.
Next Week’s Schedule: Air Force hosts San Diego State on a Thursday night game, while Navy travels to Duke on Saturday. All of this is pending government approval.
• Big games: Ohio State-Northwestern | Washington-Stanford | TCU-Oklahoma
