Florida’s Jonotthan Harrison ejected after jawing with ref in Arkansas game

The Gators’ junior lineman was ejected after probably saying something terrifying to a referee.

Florida will have to play the remainder of its game against Arkansas without starting center Jon Harrison after the redshirt junior was ejected for unsportsmanlike conduct. Harrison seemed to be having a heated discussion with Arkansas linebacker Jarrett Lake that transformed into a heated discussion with a referee, at which point the flag was thrown.

Harrison

It's not exactly clear what Harrison did to make this altercation rise to the level of an ejectable offense, but we'll have to defer to the official's judgment on this one for now. Fortunately for Florida, the Gators do have some relatively expecrienced depth at the center position. Harrison's backup is redshirt junior Kyle Koehne, who saw saw game action in all 13 of Florida's contests in 2012, including three starts. Florida was up on Arkansas by a score of 24-7 at the time that Harrison was ejected.

With Will Muschamp in his third year, stern talkings-to are something to which Florida upperclassmen should be accustomed, but you still might want to keep Mr. Harrison in your prayers.
