The Oregon Ducks continued their quest for the BCS National Championship over the weekend with a convincing 57-16 road win over Colorado. Marcus Mariota had another huge day, and while things got out of hand for the Buffs in a hurry, there were some positives to take away. Here are highlights in case you missed the action:
Oregon vs. Colorado 2013 reaction: Marcus Mariota shines as Buffaloes show fight
While the Ducks made quick work of the Buffaloes, CU fans liked the fight and effort their team showed.

Despite not having speedster DeAnthony Thomas on the field, our Our Oregon blog, Addicted to Quack, was thrilled with the way the offense played:
The Oregon offense, meanwhile, rolled up 755 yards, 355 of those off the arm of Mariota in a tad less than three quarters. Addison and Huff were the big playmakers in the passing game, and nine players caught passes overall. In the who-looks-better competition between the running backs, Byron Marshall had the better game, with 122 yards on 23 carries in place of the injured De'Anthony Thomas. Thomas Tyner was held to 30 yards on ten carries, as the Ducks racked up 349 rushing yards overall.
It would’ve been easy for Colorado fans to shut the TV off early on Saturday. Even with the lopsided score, The Ralphie Report liked what they saw from their young team:
If it sounds like that was way too detailed of a recap for the first half because that’s how it felt to watch it. Even with a lopsided score, it didn’t feel like the normal Buffs blowout. It’s hard to explain with a scoreboard that so desperately wants to call me a liar, but this was a Colorado team that was ready to compete and make plays. A team that wouldn’t give up.
Next up for the Ducks is a road showdown with the Washington Huskies, a team they've beaten nine years in a row. The Buffaloes will shift their focus to Arizona State next weekend.
