Michael Bennett was one of a number of Georgia players to suffer a significant knee injury during the Bulldogs' 34-31 overtime win in Knoxville, but the news for Bennett appears to be considerably better than it is for teammates Keith Marshall and Justin Scott-Wesley, both of whom will miss the remainder of the 2013 season with torn knee ligaments.
Michael Bennett injury: Georgia WR expected to return this season after surgery
Aaron Murray will be without many of his most trusted targets on Saturday, but the good news is that Michael Bennett should return at some point this season.

Bennett, a junior, missed the final eight games of the 2012 season after tearing his ACL during practice the week before Georgia's 35-7 loss to South Carolina. When Bennett will be able to return to the depleted Bulldog wide receiver corps is unknown at this point, but he will at least be out through Saturday's home contest against the Missouri Tigers.

Between Bennett and Scott-Wesley, Aaron Murray is now without two of his top three receiving targets. Malcolm Mitchell, who had the most receiving yards in 2012 of any Bulldog receiver returning in 2013, was also lost to a season-ending knee injury while celebrating a Todd Gurley touchdown in the season opener against Clemson.
Before his injury, Bennett caught 14 passes for 176 yards this season, good for third on the team in both categories. Senior Rantavious Wooten and true freshman Reggie Davis are the likely candidates to be called upon to replace Bennett's production.
