Florida and Georgia square off in a matchup with huge SEC East implications this weekend, and Vegas is predicting a close matchup between two classic football powers.
Georgia vs. Florida betting odds and trends: Close game predicted in Jacksonville
The Bulldogs and Gators are setting up for a tight SEC matchup this weekend.

The line opened with Georgia as 2.5-point favorites, and has stayed around that level. One bookmaker has it at Georgia minus-3, and the over/under has stayed around the opening prediction of 47.5 (with one bookie at 47).
In their past 17 games against Florida, the Bulldogs are 7-10 against the spread (with the Gators, naturally, at 10-7). In the past 16 games between the two teams, the over/under has been evenly split at eight games over and eight games under. Florida has won 12 of the last 17 contests between the two schools.
Of note, however -- Florida has not covered the spread the last two times these teams have played, missing out by less than two points each time.
In general, Florida is 3-10 against the spread in their last 13 games, as the Gator offense continues to struggle. Georgia is 0-4-1 against the spread in their last five outings.
The over/under is a bit more hard to predict, with Georgia’s prolific offense and Florida’s anemic attack. The Bulldogs have pushed the total to over in eight of their last nine games, while the Gators have kept it under in five of their last seven.
