College football scores: Results and recap of Tuesday’s Week 12 MACtion
Bowling Green and Toledo cruise to impressive wins, stay in the hunt to win their divisions.

Bowling Green smoked Ohio by both ground and air on its way to one of the more convincing blowouts in the MAC this season. The Bobcats came into the night with aspirations of clawing their way back into the MAC East race but instead found themselves completely shut down by the Falcons’ defense. Ohio was held to just 172 yards on 62 plays for a remarkably low 2.8 yards per play average (compared to a 5.9 average coming in).
With the win, Bowling Green is now on course for a de facto MAC East championship game against Buffalo on Nov. 29. Ohio falls to 3-3 in conference play and is eliminated from contention in the divisional race.
Toledo 51, Buffalo 41
Toledo found out just before the game that it would be without 1,000-yard senior running back David Fluellen, but his absence didn't keep the Rockets from running roughshod over Buffalo's defense. Freshmen Kareem Hunt and Damion Jones-Moore filled in admirably for Fluellen, and Jones-Moore's 53-yard touchdown run put Toledo up 21-0 in the first quarter, keying the blowout. Buffalo showed just enough life in the second half to give the broadcast crew reason to tantalize the viewer into sticking around until the final whistle, but the game was never truly in doubt.
Toledo’s win puts it back in the middle of the MAC West race, with next Wednesday’s tilt against No. 15 Northern Illinois serving as an elimination game for the Rockets. Buffalo’s loss doesn’t hurt it too much, as its regular season finale against Bowling Green was always going to determine which team would represent the West in the MAC championship game.
