After a slow start against Oklahoma, Baylor eventually got going and pulled away for an easy win -- something that’s become the norm for the Bears in 2013. Here’s the information you need to watch the game between the Red Raiders and the Bears.

Texas Tech aims to change all of that, but the odds are running heavily against the Red Raiders, who are on a three-game losing streak after a 7-0 start. Their offense has been solid this year, and they’ll need every ounce of production they can muster in order to keep pace with Baylor, which leads the nation in total offense and yards per play.
The numbers
Rankings and records: Baylor comes in at 8-0 (5-0). The Bears are No. 4 in the AP Poll, No. 4 in the Coaches’ Poll and No. 5 in the BCS standings. Unranked Texas Tech is 7-3 (4-3). The Red Raiders are 36-34-1 against Baylor all-time.
Vegas: Baylor opened as a 27-point favorite.
Weather: A high of 64 is anticipated, and there’s a chance for rain. But since this game is being played at Cowboys Stadium, that won’t be an issue.
Three names to know
Bryce Petty -- It's not looking like Petty will win the Heisman this year, though that's through no fault of his own. The Baylor QB has 21 touchdown passes against a single interception. He averages an absurd 13.2 yards per attempt, which leads the country. He's also tops nationally in passer rating.
Jace Amaro -- Texas Tech's tight end is one of the most prolific pass catchers in the country -- he has 88 grabs this year for 1,102 yards and four touchdowns. He leads the Big 12 in the first two categories.
Antwan Goodley -- Petty's favorite target has 974 yards on just 44 receptions, and his 10 receiving scores leads the conference.
Two things at stake
Baylor’s BCS title chances improved a bit thanks to Oregon’s loss to Stanford, but the Bears have plenty of work to do still, and they need a lot of help. They’re also in the thick of the Big 12 race -- Texas is also undefeated in league play, while one-loss Oklahoma State looms just behind those two.
Texas Tech’s three-game losing skid effectively ended its conference title hopes, leaving the Red Raiders to play for bowl positioning. The Red Raiders finish with a road game at Texas, making a demoralizing five-game losing streak to end the season a possibility. If they can avoid that, it’ll give them something to build on heading into the postseason.
