Minnesota is riding high after beating Nebraska last week, and the Golden Gophers will be going for their third win in a row when they take on Indiana on Saturday. The Hoosiers, meanwhile, have lost two games in a row.
How to watch Minnesota vs. Indiana: Preview, TV time, odds and more
Here’s everything you need to know in order to watch the game between the Gophers and Hoosiers on Saturday.

Indiana is moving the ball effectively this season -- it hasn’t scored fewer than 28 points in a game -- but getting stops has been a serious issue. The Hoosiers put up 47 points on the Wolverines, which wasn’t good enough to win; it wasn’t even good enough to keep the scoring margin in the single digits. Michigan piled up 751 total yards on the way to scoring 63 points.
Fortunately for Indiana, Minnesota’s offense has not been particularly explosive this year. The Gophers are coming off one of their better efforts of the season, however; they averaged 6.1 yards per play against the Cornhuskers.
The numbers
Rankings and records: Minnesota is 6-2 (2-2) this season, while Indiana comes in at 3-4 (1-2). Neither team is ranked. The Gophers lead the all-time series, 37-26-3.
Vegas: Indiana opened as a 7-point favorite. The over/under is set at 65.5.
Weather: Partly cloudy skies and a high of 54 are expected in Bloomington. There’s a slight chance of rain.
Three names to know
Tre Roberson/Nate Sudfeld -- Roberson began the year as Indiana's starting quarterback, then gave way to Sudfeld. Now they're rotating, and that is expected to continue this week. Sudfeld is averaging 246.6 passing yards per game, but he has completed less than 50 percent of his attempts in each of IU's last two contests. Roberson has been better in several categories, though he hasn't thrown the ball nearly as much as Sudfeld.
Cody Latimer -- Latimer has been Indiana's top pass-catcher this season. He is fourth in the Big Ten in both receptions (40) and receiving yards (640). He is easily on pace to break his career high of 805 receiving yards in a season.
David Cobb -- Because of an iffy passing game, the Gophers prefer to lean on their rushing attack. Minnesota has four players with at least 284 rushing yards, led by Cobb, who has 615 yards and five rushing touchdowns this season.
Two things at stake
Minnesota is already bowl eligible thanks to last week’s upset over Nebraska at home. The Gophers have matched their win total from a year ago, and now they have bowl positioning to play for. It is unlikely they’ll be able to get back into the Legends Division race given that they have two losses in league play.
Indiana is halfway to bowl eligibility and running short on time. If the Hoosiers beat Minnesota, they can get to six wins by taking care of Illinois and Purdue at home, which is doable. If they lose to the Gophers, however, they’ll need a win at either Wisconsin or Ohio State, in addition to wins over the Illini and Boilermakers.
