Wisconsin WR Abbrederis out with chest injury

Abbrederis suffered the injury on a key Wisconsin touchdown in the third quarter.

No. 24 Wisconsin is starting to pull away from the host Iowa Hawkeyes in the second half, and key to the Badgers’ efforts has been a 20-yard touchdown pass from Joel Stave to his favorite target, All-Big Ten WR Jared Abbrederis.

Unfortunately, Abbrederis’ touchdown may be his last play of the game. He took a monster hit from Iowa safety John Lowdermilk after making the touchdown catch, and he came off the field hurting.

Abbrederis went to the locker room with trainers, and he wasn’t seen on either of the Badgers’ next two possessions. According to ESPN sideline reporter Shannon Spake, Abbrederis has not been cleared to return.
