Texas A&M vs. LSU 2013 final score: Tigers thrash Aggies in Death Valley, 34-10

LSU pounded the Aggies on the ground and held Johnny Manziel to one of the worst showings of his career in a dominant 34-10 win.

Crystal LoGiudice-USA TODAY Spor

The No. 22 LSU Tigers shut down Johnny Manziel and No. 12 Texas A&M Aggies in a shockingly easy 34-10 victory in front of a delirious crowd in Baton Rouge.

The Aggies had no answer for the LSU rushing attack, which racked up 326 yards and over six yards a pop in the win and helped LSU keep the game firmly in its pocket the entire way through.

Meanwhile, Manziel’s woes against LSU continued as he was held to 16-of-41 passing and 224 yards (a horrid yardage total on that many attempts), compounded by two interceptions and only one score. His Heisman dreams are effectively dead.

Box Score Hero: Terrence Magee was the biggest source of damage to Texas A&M's rush defense, racking up 149 yards and a score on just 13 carries. His 65-yard rush in the first quarter set the tone for LSU's ground dominance and he scored his only touchdown to finish the drive off three plays later.

Rankings Ramifications: This is Texas A&M’s third loss of the season, so the pollsters aren’t going to be kind; LSU had previously been the highest-ranked three-loss team, and well, if A&M makes up only half the difference to fall to No. 17 it’ll be lucky.

But Did They Cover? LSU was favored by three to four points, depending on who you asked. The distinction was meaningless.
