When the UCLA Bruins face USC this week, they will be without starting offensive tackle Simon Goines. As head coach Jim Mora met with the media on Sunday following the Bruins' tough loss to Arizona State, he said Goines underwent surgery earlier in the day to fix a broken bone in his lower leg.
UCLA loses another starting lineman ahead of USC game
The Bruins will be without Simon Goines against the Trojans next weekend.
Goines posted this on Instagram following his surgery, appearing to be in pretty good spirits.

— SIMON GOINES (@goines_simon) November 25, 2013 Goines' injury was not the first impactful one for UCLA's offensive line this season. Torian White, another starter, was lost for the year back in October after breaking his ankle against Utah.
The Bruins were already relying on youth up front, and the loss of Goines will only make things tougher on Saturday against a red-hot USC squad. With so many injuries along the line, Devon Kennard and the Trojans' pass rushers could be in for a big day at the Coliseum.
