How to watch UCLA vs. USC 2013: Preview, TV schedule, odds and more

Ed Oregron and the red-hot Trojans will look to win their sixth game in a row as they welcome in the Bruins to the Coliseum.

Few rivalries in the country are as heated as the one between the UCLA Bruins and USC Trojans. With the two campuses being separated by just a couple of miles in Los Angeles, it's easy to see why the annual showdown at the Coliseum or Rose Bowl takes on such a big role in determining whether or not the season was a successful one.

About six weeks ago, this looked to be a game UCLA would cruise in. The Bruins were knocking on the door of a top-10 ranking, while USC had just fired their head coach. Ed Orgeron has led a resurgence, though, and now USC comes in winners of five in a row and six of seven. The Bruins, on the other hands, are coming off a heartbreaking loss to Arizona State that would’ve set them up to win the Pac-12 South. Will they come out fired up or still licking their wounds? Here’s all you need to know to watch Saturday’s game.

The numbers

Rankings and records: UCLA comes in ranked 22nd in the BCS, while USC is 23rd. The Trojans lead the all-time series with a 46-29-7 record.

Vegas: USC opened is a 3.5-point favorite.

Weather: Here’s a shocker: it’ll be a beautiful night for football in L.A. with temperatures in the low-60s at kickoff.

Three names to know

Myles Jack: Jack is a linebacker-turned-tailback. In three games since heading to the backfield, he's rushed for 265 yards and six touchdowns. Look for Jim Mora to keep feeding him the ball this week.

Javorius Allen: Perhaps somewhat quietly, Allen has put together as good a month of November as any running back in the country. He's carried the ball 59 times for 439 yards and nine touchdowns.

Brett Hundley: Everyone already knows about Hundley's abilities on the field. After throwing for 2,637 yards and 22 touchdowns this season, some are wondering if he could bolt for the NFL after this season. Is this his final regular-season game in blue and gold?

Two things at stake

While neither team can win the Pac-12 South, the winner will finish in second place in the division and will obviously have bragging rights for the next 12 months.

A win for UCLA would mark the first time since 1998 that the Bruins beat the Trojans two years in a row.
