In the first half of Thursday's game, Oklahoma quarterback Blake Bell stepped up in the pocket on third down and threw the ball to Sterling Shepard, who was open and streaking across the field when Baylor defensive back K.J. Morton absolutely blew him up with a tackle that was flagged for targeting a defenseless receiver.
Big Oklahoma-Baylor hit results in 4 flags, no ejection
K.J. Morton was flagged but not ejected for his brutal hit on Sterling Shepard.

Shepard was motionless on the ground for several minutes before being carted off the field. The play was reviewed and Morton’s ejection was overturned because the contact was shoulder-to-shoulder, but the 15-yard penalty was still enforced, per NCAA rule. Baylor incurred three additional personal foul penalties on this drive for unnecessary roughness and unsportsmanlike conduct.
