Baylor leads Oklahoma after three quarters, 34-12

The rout is apparently on in Waco: After scoring three unanswered touchdowns to close the first half, Baylor scored another 10 points in the third quarter and now leads the Sooners, 34-12, with 15 minutes left to play. After a sluggish start, the Bears offense has now scored or attempted a score in six of its last seven possessions.

After punting on its first possession, Baylor started its second drive of the half at the Oklahoma 34. It took the Bears just five plays to score, with Bryce Petty finding Levi Norwood wide open in the end zone for a touchdown. It was Petty's second touchdown pass of the night, and Norwood's second touchdown reception of the season.

Oklahoma's offense finally answered back. Blake Bell completed a swing pass to halfback Roy Finch for a 10-yard touchdown, the Sooners' first of the night. It capped a 10-play, 71-yard drive, the Sooners' longest of the evening so far.

Baylor again drove deep into Oklahoma territory, with third-string halfback Rashodrick Linwood gashing the Sooners defense on a 39-yard run. The drive stalled after an offensive pass interference call, however, and Baylor was forced to settle for a field goal.

Baylor halfback Glasco Martin and wide receiver Tevin Reese are out for the rest of the night with injuries. Running back Lache Seastrunk, who missed much of the second quarter after suffering a groin injury, returned to action in the third quarter.
